Pakistan Railways has completed the upgradation of its Reservation Office at headquarters, introducing modern facilities aimed at improving passenger services and ticketing efficiency.
The office has been fully renovated with updated interiors and new furnishings as part of broader efforts to improve service delivery. Hanif Abbasi is expected to inaugurate the upgraded facility in the coming days.
Under the revamp, 15 ticketing counters have been established, including dedicated counters for women, men, and senior citizens. A separate information desk has also been introduced to assist passengers.
The upgraded facility is now fully air-conditioned and offers seating for around 30 people. As part of the modernization drive, Pakistan Railways has also installed two self-ticketing machines, allowing passengers to obtain tickets independently.
Additional improvements include separate washrooms for men and women, security cameras for monitoring, and free Wi-Fi for passengers. New furniture has also been provided for staff and visitors.
Officials say the upgrade is expected to improve service standards, streamline the ticketing process, and make the reservation experience more organized and efficient for travelers.
