A total of 20 teams will participate in the tournament, divided into four groups, competing for the coveted World Cup trophy, with the final scheduled for March 8.
Talking about the opening game, the Netherlands are currently in a good position after Pakistan invited them to bat first, with the team scoring 112 for 4 in 12 overs.
Opener Michael Levitt gave the team a superb start, scoring 24 runs off 15 balls before Mohammad Nawaz dismissed him, while Colin Ackermann contributed 20 runs off 14 balls.
Bas de Leede scored 30 runs off 24 balls before being dismissed by Nawaz, while Scott Edwards is currently at the crease, scoring 28 runs off 21 balls.
For Pakistan, the left-arm spinner took two crucial wickets, while Salman Mirza and Abrar Ahmed claimed one wicket each, restricting the opposition to 112 for 4 in 12 overs.
