Pakistani visuals unexpectedly appeared on Indian online streaming during the fourth T20 World Cup match between New Zealand and Afghanistan at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Fans who were streaming on the Indian app Hotstar were shocked when a “Pakistan Review” sign appeared on screen during the fifth over, creating confusion during a match completely unrelated to the Men in Green.
The unplanned broadcast emerged at a time when Pakistan has officially refused to play against India in the tournament, highlighting ongoing tensions and the politically charged atmosphere surrounding the mega event.

ICC delegation visited PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore the previous day, requesting Pakistan to participate against India, but the board has yet to respond.
It was reported in the media that Pakistan has presented three major conditions to the ICC regarding its potential review of the decision to boycott the high-profile match against its archrivals.
The first condition asks the ICC to increase funding for Bangladesh, recognizing its growing contribution to global cricket, supporting infrastructure, player development, and overall performance of the national cricket team.
The second condition requests financial compensation for Bangladesh despite its exclusion from the mega event, highlighting that teams invest heavily and deserve basic financial protection regardless of performance or participation.
The third condition urges that Bangladesh be awarded future hosting rights for a major ICC event, highlighting its existing infrastructure, large fan base, and ability to successfully organize international cricket tournaments.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is expected to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today after consultations with ICC officials, allowing the government to finalize Pakistan’s official position on playing the India match.
The controversy escalated last month when the ICC removed Bangladesh from the T20 World Cup after its cricket board refused to play in India, citing security concerns which the ICC deemed unverified and insufficient.
Following the ICC decision, Scotland was added as a replacement, prompting Pakistan to announce its support for Bangladesh and consider boycotting its scheduled match against India in solidarity with its Asian neighbour.
