In a facilitative step for riders, Islamabad’s E-Tag centers will remain open on Sunday to help motorcyclists obtain mandatory electronic tags. Authorities have urged citizens to install E-Tags immediately to avoid legal action and ensure compliance with vehicle regulations.
According to Irfan Memon, Director General Excise, motorcyclists can visit designated centers with their motorcycle documents and CNIC to get E-Tags installed.
The move aims to ease access for working citizens who cannot visit on weekdays and accelerate compliance across the capital.
Officials have stressed that E-Tag installation is compulsory and warned that motorcyclists without tags may face legal action during enforcement checks. Citizens have been advised to complete registration at the earliest to avoid penalties.
By keeping E-Tag centers open on Sunday, Islamabad authorities are expanding facilitation measures to ensure maximum compliance among motorcyclists and improve vehicle monitoring systems in the city.
