Teams knocked out during the group stage each received PKR 70 million as part of the overall prize structure announced for all participating sides in the tournament.
India’s victory also marked the first time a team successfully defended the T20 World Cup title and the first occasion a side lifted the trophy on home soil.
Sanju Samson was named Player of the Tournament after scoring 321 runs with an average of 80.25 and an impressive strike rate of 199.37.
Jasprit Bumrah produced a decisive spell in the final with four wickets for 15 runs, while Varun Chakravarthy matched his tournament tally of 14 wickets for India.
