The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) recently released its official telecom consumer complaints data for January 2026. Consumers filed a total of 6,054 complaints against various telecom operators during the month. Fortunately, the authorities resolved 5,764 of these cases, achieving a 95.21% resolution rate. Jazz received the most complaints.
These grievances targeted multiple service providers across the country. Specifically, users reported issues with Cellular Mobile Operators (CMOs), the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), Long-Distance International (LDI) operators, Wireless Local Loop (WLL) operators, and Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
Unsurprisingly, Cellular Mobile Operators generated the vast majority of these complaints. Cellular mobile subscribers make up a major part of the overall telecom subscriber base. Therefore, the maximum number of user complaints naturally belongs to this specific segment.
Overall, the PTA recorded 5,182 complaints against CMOs by the end of January. However, they successfully addressed 4,958 of them, securing a solid 95.68% resolution rate.
Jazz received the highest number of consumer complaints in January. Following that, Zong took the second spot in the complaints tally. Below is the exact breakdown of cellular operator complaints and their respective resolution rates:
| Cellular Operator | Complaints Received | Complaints Resolved | Resolution Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jazz | 2,292 | 2,238 | 97.64% |
| Zong | 1,093 | 1,066 | 97.53% |
| Telenor | 921 | 843 | 91.53% |

Beyond the cellular networks, the PTA also handled issues across other telecommunication sectors. Furthermore, the authority received 677 complaints against various Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Out of these, they successfully addressed 619 issues, resulting in a 91.43% resolution rate.
Finally, the PTA recorded 157 complaints against basic telephony services. They actively addressed 153 of these specific cases during January, closing the month with a strong 97.45% resolution rate.
