Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that petroleum prices will remain unchanged for the upcoming review period, offering temporary relief to consumers amid ongoing volatility in global oil markets.
According to official details, the price of petrol will remain at Rs321.17 per litre, while high-speed diesel will stay at Rs335.86 per litre, maintaining rates set after the historic hike earlier this month.
The decision comes just days after the government imposed a massive Rs55 per litre increase in both petrol and diesel prices on March 7, driven by a sharp surge in international oil prices linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
