Players will finally get their hands on Pragmata on April 17, 2026. This launch marks a one-week bump from the previously scheduled April 24 release date. Furthermore, the game will launch simultaneously across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Pragmata: A Unique Dual-Control Experience
Pragmata utilizes Capcom’s stunning RE Engine to deliver a distinct third-person action experience. Specifically, players will control two protagonists, Hugh and Diana, simultaneously. Combat requires players to hack robotic enemies with one character while actively blasting them away with the other. Fortunately, early demos have already generated positive impressions among critics and fans alike.
Overcoming a Rocky Development Journey
The development journey for Pragmata spanned nearly six years. Capcom initially announced the game in June 2020 during the PlayStation 5 reveal event, targeting a 2022 release window. However, the publisher delayed the title to 2023 via a short trailer in January 2021. Later, in June 2023, Capcom released another trailer to confirm an indefinite delay.
After a two-year hiatus, the game made a triumphant return at the June 2025 Sony State of Play. Capcom finally locked in an April 24, 2026 release date at The Game Awards in December 2025. Then, earlier last month, the team moved the release date up to April 17.

Ultimately, Pragmata’s rocky development has reached its end. Developers will likely continue working on a standard day-one patch leading up to launch. However, fans can confidently expect no further delays.
