Travelers face severe difficulties as authorities have cancelled 58 two-way flights departing from airports across Pakistan to various Gulf countries. Consequently, airport sources report major disruptions for passengers nationwide.
Islamabad Airport took the hardest hit. Authorities cancelled 24 two-way flights originating from the capital. Specifically, these grounded flights targeted Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Sharjah, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Al Ain.
Meanwhile, Karachi Airport experienced the second-highest number of disruptions. Officials grounded 16 two-way flights there. These routes initially connected Karachi to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Mashhad, Bahrain, Sharjah, and Muscat.
Furthermore, the wave of cancellations affected other key airports. Peshawar Airport reported the cancellation of 12 two-way flights. These affected routes included Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah.
Similarly, Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore saw major schedule changes. Management cancelled 6 two-way flights heading to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. Ultimately, these sudden nationwide cancellations have caused severe difficulties for all affected passengers.
