Epic Games just dropped a roadmap for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2. Consequently, players finally know exactly what to expect. Fortnite Showdown went live on March 19. Previously, the Pacific Break season laid the narrative groundwork. That season essentially reintroduced the Dark Voyager and The Seven to the core storyline.
Currently, the Dark Voyager and the Ice King want to destroy The Seven. Therefore, the Ice King is actively battling The Foundation. This massive rivalry ultimately gives the season its “Showdown” title.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2: The Ultimate Showdown
In this season, you must choose a faction. You can support either Team Foundation or Team Ice King. Afterward, you must win rivalries against opposing players. By doing this, you earn points for community challenges. This helps your team rise to the top.
Act 1, titled “Rise of the King,” is already over. Both factions successfully completed all Showdown Milestone goals by winning rivalries.
Act 2 & the Elite Stronghold
Now, Epic Games is shifting focus to Act 2. This upcoming phase is titled “The Elites”. It centers heavily around Elite Stronghold. Elite Stronghold is a brand-new Fortnite Reload map. Consequently, players might need to play this Reload mode to earn team points moving forward.
If you hold an Elite rank or higher, you receive early access to this map on April 18. Furthermore, Epic Games will grant full access to every player on April 20.
A Mysterious Finale
Following Act 2, the storyline moves into a third act. However, Epic Games completely redacted the title. Therefore, the upcoming theme remains a total mystery.
Finally, the season will conclude with an Epilogue. This finale guarantees a massive live event for players. Fortnite Showdown officially ends on June 6, 2026. Thus, you can expect this concluding live event to trigger during the final week or on the very last day of the season.
What do you mean, “redacted”???
