Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has announced that a submarine cable fault will affect internet services for customers starting 14 April 2026.
PTCL issued the notice via its official social media account, informing customers of planned maintenance activity on one of its submarine cables.
The maintenance work is being carried out by an international cable consortium tasked with repairing the fault on the submarine cable system.
The activity is scheduled to begin on 14 April 2026 and is expected to continue until 20 April 2026 at the latest.
During this period, PTCL customers may experience internet service degradation, with disruptions most likely to occur during the evening hours daily.
PTCL did not specify which cable system is affected or the geographic areas most likely to experience the worst service degradation.
The company expressed regret over the inconvenience and acknowledged that the disruption would impact customers relying on its broadband internet services.
