Karachi is officially getting Pakistan’s tallest skyscraper. DHA City Karachi and ABS Developers finalized an agreement today to develop Burj Quaid. This massive 82-storey high-rise project will sit inside DHA City.
The new tower will pierce the city skyline at a staggering 941 feet. Consequently, it will secure the title of the tallest building in the country upon completion. Furthermore, developers will build this mega project across nearly six acres of land. They expect to finish construction within six years.
Officials have high expectations for this development. They believe the project will actively strengthen commercial activity. Moreover, it will attract new investments. Ultimately, Pakistan’s tallest skyscraper, Burj Quaid, will accelerate modern urban infrastructure growth across Karachi.
This announcement highlights a growing interest in high-rise developments across Pakistan. Islamabad is also actively participating in this vertical trend. Earlier, the Pakistan Airport Authority (PAA) revealed plans for a massive new project. They intend to construct a multi-storey aviation and commercial complex in the Blue Area. This development will span a 9,000-square-yard plot. Eventually, it could become Islamabad’s tallest building.
The PAA recently submitted documents to the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (PEPA). The proposed Aviation Complex will feature airline headquarters, PAA offices, and conference facilities. Additionally, it will host banks, food courts, and hotel accommodations. Visitors will also find an aviation museum, fitness and recreational facilities, and an art gallery inside.
Meanwhile, builders are actively constructing the Garden Residential Apartment Project in F-10 Markaz. This building will stand 470 feet tall and feature 42 storeys. Other prominent towers currently dominating the capital include The Centaurus and One Constitution Avenue.
