Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has selected a 16-member squad for the three-match ODI series against Australia, to be played between May 30 and June 4 in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
Shaheen Shah Afridi will continue to captain the the Men in Green, while Salman Ali Agha has been officially named as the vice-captain for the upcoming ODI series.
Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, and Sufiyan Muqeem have all been recalled to the squad after missing Pakistan’s ODI series, which was played in Bangladesh in March.
Ahmed Daniyal, Arafat Minhas, and Rohail Nazir have all retained their places and could each make their international debuts in the series, having previously been selected without playing.
Muhammad Ghazi Ghori and Rohail Nazir have been selected as the two wicketkeeper-batters in the Pakistan squad, after Usman Khan was ruled out due to an ongoing illness.
Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub were not considered for selection in the squad, as both players remain in ongoing rehabilitation under the PCB medical panel following their injuries.
