Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan has said he is ready to work with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in any role. He made the remarks during a visit to Baldia Town Stadium in Karachi. During his visit, Younis Khan spoke about supporting Pakistan cricket in different capacities. He said he remains open to contributing wherever the board needs him.
He stated that he is always available for national duty if given the opportunity. He added that he would try to perform any assigned role with full effort and responsibility.
“I am always ready to serve Pakistan in any capacity if the opportunity arises,” Younis Khan said. He further said that if he is given responsibility for the national team, he will try to deliver his best.
He also highlighted the importance of experienced former players in team development. According to him, retired cricketers and senior support staff play a key role in improving team performance.
Younis Khan added that every former player should step forward when given a chance. He said service to Pakistan cricket requires dedication, commitment, and professionalism.
Earlier reports suggested he might replace Sarfaraz Ahmed as Test head coach. However, later updates indicated Sarfaraz Ahmed received a clean chit from the PCB. He is now expected to continue as head coach for the upcoming Test tours of the West Indies and England.
