EasyPaisa confirmed intermittent service disruptions across its platform, acknowledging the outage only after nearly 12 hours of continuous user complaints on social media.
The company, which operates one of the largest digital financial platforms in Pakistan with approximately 59 million registered accounts, issued a statement confirming the disruption.
In its official statement, EasyPaisa said some users had experienced service interruptions, adding that its teams were actively working to resolve the issue and restore full services.
Throughout the day, users from cities across the country reported being unable to log in, transfer funds, pay bills, or access other core financial services through the application.
Many users questioned why the company took several hours to issue a formal explanation despite the scale and duration of the disruption affecting millions of account holders.
The outage triggered widespread concern on social media platforms, where users expressed frustration over the lack of timely communication from one of the most widely used financial services.
