Harvard Business School has opened applications for its need-based MBA scholarship program, offering financial assistance to outstanding students, including applicants from Pakistan, who wish to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in the United States.
The scholarship program is designed to make Harvard’s MBA more accessible by reducing the financial burden on qualified students. According to the university, around 50 percent of MBA students currently receive need-based scholarships, with the average award totaling approximately $100,000 over the two-year program. Students demonstrating exceptional financial need may also qualify for full tuition support.
Scholarship awards are determined based on an applicant’s financial circumstances rather than academic merit alone. Harvard Business School evaluates factors such as income, personal and family assets, educational debt, family background, and household finances. Married applicants and those with dependents are also assessed based on their overall financial situation.
The scholarship is open to applicants of all nationalities. However, candidates must first secure admission to Harvard Business School’s MBA program before submitting a separate financial aid application along with the required supporting documents.
International applicants are also required to complete a Certification of Finances form, which the university uses to verify financial need and determine eligibility for aid.
Harvard Business School said the initiative reflects its commitment to ensuring that financial limitations do not prevent talented students from accessing world-class business education. The university encourages eligible candidates from around the world, including Pakistan, to apply for both admission and financial aid.
