Lahore Traffic Police have seized a motorcycle during a routine check on Wahdat Road after discovering 112 unpaid e-challans totaling Rs. 207,800.
According to officials from Punjab Traffic Police, the motorcycle was stopped for a traffic violation. A record check revealed a long list of pending fines accumulated over multiple offences.
The violations included:
- 55 cases of riding without a helmet
- 20 red light violations
- 28 lane discipline violations
- 8 speeding violations
Authorities said the unpaid fines triggered enforcement action, leading to the seizure of the vehicle.
Lahore Chief Traffic Officer Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi said the department is intensifying its crackdown on vehicles with outstanding e-challans. He urged motorists to follow traffic laws and clear their dues to avoid legal action.
He also warned that individuals with unpaid e-challans may face restrictions on availing certain police services until dues are cleared.
