Islamabad Traffic Police has established special pink counters at all police service centers and traffic headquarters to help women access traffic-related services and official documents in a safe and comfortable environment.
The counters will provide services related to driving licenses and character certificates. According to the department’s spokesperson, female staff members have been assigned to these counters, while women’s requests will be handled on a priority basis.
Chief Traffic Officer Kainat Azhar Khan said the initiative aims to protect women’s privacy, dignity, and convenience while improving access to public services. Islamabad Traffic Police has encouraged women to visit the designated centers and benefit from the new facilities.
