Xiaomi’s next flagship lineup could arrive in September. The company is expected to introduce the Xiaomi 18, Xiaomi 18 Pro, and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max during the launch event. Reports also suggest these phones may become the first devices powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processors.
A new leak has now revealed key details about the Xiaomi 18 Pro. According to the source on Weibo, the Xiaomi 18 Pro will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. The phone is also expected to feature an ultra-clear flat display with large rounded corners. In addition, the screen could come with extremely narrow and symmetrical bezels on all four sides.
The camera setup appears to be one of the phone’s biggest highlights. The leak claims that Xiaomi will equip the device with a 200MP primary camera that uses an ultra-large sensor. The phone may also include a 200MP telephoto macro camera with another large sensor.
Apart from the cameras, Xiaomi is reportedly improving the multimedia experience. The Xiaomi 18 Pro could feature upgraded dual speakers and a relatively large vibration motor to provide better audio and haptic feedback.
Battery life may also receive a major upgrade. The report says the handset will pack a battery with a capacity of at least 7,000mAh. The device is also expected to support 100W wired charging and wireless charging.
However, one detail remains unclear. It is still unknown whether the Xiaomi 18 Pro will ship with Android 17 out of the box. Xiaomi has not officially confirmed any of these specifications. Still, if the latest leak proves accurate, the Xiaomi 18 Pro could become one of the most powerful Android flagships launching later this year.
