The City Traffic Police Murree has intensified its crackdown against motorists driving without valid licenses following directives issued by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Punjab Muhammad Waqas Nazir.
The enforcement campaign is being carried out under the supervision of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Murree Munir Ahmed Hashmi and has already resulted in hundreds of traffic challans being issued to motorcyclists and other drivers found violating licensing laws. Authorities said legal action is also being taken against offenders.
According to a traffic police spokesperson, daily checkpoints and vehicle inspections are being conducted at major roads and key locations across Murree to discourage unlicensed driving and improve road safety.
The spokesperson reminded motorists that driving without a valid license is a violation of the law and urged all road users to carry their original driving licenses while traveling.
CTO Munir Ahmed Hashmi also appealed to the public to comply with traffic regulations and avoid driving any vehicle or motorcycle without a valid license, stressing that adherence to traffic laws is essential for ensuring the safety of all road users.
