Samsung is preparing to launch several new devices in the coming months. While most attention is on the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event and its expected foldable phones, fresh leaks have now revealed details about the company’s next premium tablet.
A new report from the source, in partnership with Smartphone Checker, has shared CAD-based renders of the upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. The renders are reportedly based on insider information related to Samsung’s next flagship tablet.
According to the leaked images, Samsung may not make any major design changes this year. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra appears almost identical to its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The tablet is said to measure 326.34 x 208.46 x 5.12mm, which is nearly the same as the current model.
The front design also remains familiar. Earlier reports claimed that Samsung would replace the notch with a punch-hole camera. However, the latest renders suggest otherwise. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra still features the semi-circular notch seen on the previous generation.
The leak also points to an important hardware upgrade. Samsung is expected to equip the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra with MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9500 chipset. The new processor could deliver better performance and improved power efficiency compared to the previous model.
However, the battery may not receive an upgrade this year. The report claims that the tablet will keep the same 11,600mAh battery found in the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Several details about the device are still unknown. Samsung has yet to reveal information about the display, cameras, memory options, or software features.
For now, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to arrive in September. Since the launch is still a few months away, more leaks and reports will likely emerge before Samsung officially unveils the tablet.
