Registration for the online auction of premium vehicle registration numbers for August has opened through the e-Auction smartphone app and web portal, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) announced.
Interested applicants can register online until August 30 to bid for their preferred registration numbers, without needing to visit any office in person.
The e-Auction platform, developed jointly by PITB and the Punjab Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department, covers registration numbers for motorcycles, motor cars, and commercial vehicles.
Details of successful bidders are published on the application, ensuring transparency throughout the process.
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said the platform uses modern digital technology to give citizens a seamless, secure, and transparent way to bid for their preferred registration numbers.
He added that digitising the auction process improves efficiency, speeds up service delivery, and strengthens transparency while promoting convenience for citizens and good governance.
The initiative, Yousaf said, reflects the commitment of the Punjab government to expanding digital public services and offering technology-driven solutions that improve the overall experience for citizens.
