Samsung is set to add another phone to its Galaxy S26 lineup on August 27. The company will host its “Galaxy Event August 2026” next Thursday, with the event starting at 12 pm UTC. Samsung has not named the device yet. However, the announcement strongly points to the Galaxy S26 FE. The company has also kept official specifications for the phone under wraps so far.
Some details have already surfaced through unofficial leaks. A leaked EPREL label gives the phone an A rating for energy efficiency and drop resistance. It also lists a C rating for repairability.
The same leak claims the Galaxy S26 FE battery is rated for 1,200 charge cycles. It could offer up to 50 hours of use on a single charge. By comparison, the Galaxy S25 FE is rated for 2,000 cycles and 42:37 hours of endurance.
The phone is also expected to carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. However, these details have not been confirmed by Samsung and should be treated as unofficial.
One of the biggest expected upgrades is the Exynos 2500 chipset. The processor has already appeared in Google Play Console listings, making the upgrade more likely. More details have also emerged through a major leak. It reportedly includes specifications and several images of the Galaxy S26 FE.
Samsung will livestream the August 27 event on Samsung.com and its YouTube channel. The event begins at 12pm UTC, when we expect to learn more about the Galaxy S26 FE.
