WB Games recently dropped a brand-new trailer for the LEGO Batman: Legacy of The Dark Knight Mayhem Collection DLC. Recently, the publisher officially showcased what fans can expect. Now, players finally have a concrete release date. The highly anticipated DLC officially launches on September 18, 2026.
Furthermore, WB Games confirmed some exciting platform news. The base game and the new DLC will both land on the Nintendo Switch 2 on that exact same day. Originally, the award-winning developer Traveller’s Tales launched the base game on May 22, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. However, it skipped the Switch 2 at launch. Now, Nintendo fans can finally join the action.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of The Dark Knight DLC Details
The new trailer gives players a deep dive into the upcoming content. The DLC story mission focuses heavily on Arkham imagery. Specifically, players will control Joker and Harley Quinn as they orchestrate a massive breakout from Arkham Asylum. Consequently, they will unleash chaos across the streets of Gotham. Additionally, both villains feature their own unique abilities and gadgets to change up the gameplay style.
Story content aside, the update introduces the titular Mayhem Mode. This mode sends Joker and Harley on fast-paced, time-limited runs through Gotham City. Meanwhile, Batman and Robin actively pursue them. Players must race back to Amusement Mile before the timer runs out. Along the way, you can earn LEGO studs by smashing vehicles, stores, and Amanda Waller’s landmarks.
However, dangerous enemies block the path. Players will face A.R.G.U.S. agents and Task Force X members. The confirmed roster includes Deathstroke, Killer Croc, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, King Shark, and Polka-Dot Man. Interestingly, this official reveal finally provides closure on the leaked datamined files from spring 2026.
Fresh Cosmetics & Grueling Free Update
The Mayhem Collection also brings plenty of style. The DLC includes the Sinister Pack, which introduces seven villain-themed outfits for the original playable cast. Additionally, players unlock five new decorations for their customizable Batcave alongside the Arkham Trilogy Jokermobile. Furthermore, Joker and Harley receive special nostalgic skins. Fans can unlock looks inspired by ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ and ‘The Dark Knight Returns’.
Finally, players who do not buy the DLC still get new content. On September 18, WB Games will release a free update for everyone. This update introduces the “Absolute” difficulty setting. Positioned above the existing Caped Crusader and Dark Knight tiers, this new option demands immense skill. Players will need greater combat precision and awareness to survive. Ultimately, it gives returning players a brutal new challenge.
