Xiaomi has introduced the Pad 9 Pro Max alongside the Xiaomi 18 Fold. The new tablet is positioned as the company’s flagship model. It combines a large display with Xiaomi’s latest in-house Xring O3 chip. The Pad 9 Pro Max features a 13.3-inch LCD screen with a 3408×2272 resolution. It uses a 3:2 aspect ratio and supports a 144Hz refresh rate. The display can also reach 1,000 nits of peak brightness.
Xiaomi uses its self-developed Xring O3 chipset. The same chip powers the Xiaomi 18 Fold. Buyers can choose between 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB of RAM. Storage options include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. For photography, the tablet has a 50MP rear camera with OIS. A 32MP camera handles selfies and video calls. Xiaomi also adds eight speakers and six microphones to the device.
The Pad 9 Pro Max packs a 12,000 mAh battery for extended use. It supports 120W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging. The tablet also supports 45W reverse charging through its pogo pin connection.
On the software side, the tablet runs Android 17 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4. The device measures 296.2 x 203.08 x 5.67 mm and weighs 645g. A matte glass version is also available, weighing 653g.
Xiaomi has priced the Pad 9 Pro Max from CNY 4,799 ($715). That price gets buyers the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The 12GB/256GB version costs CNY 5,299 ($789), while the 16GB/256GB model costs CNY 5,799 ($864).
The 12GB/512GB model is priced at CNY 6,099 ($908). Meanwhile, the 16GB/512GB version costs CNY 6,599 ($983). Xiaomi also offers the Matte Glass model with 16GB/512GB for CNY 6,899 ($1,027). The top-end Matte Glass version comes with 16GB of RAM and 1TB storage. It costs CNY 7,899 ($1,176). Xiaomi has not yet confirmed whether the Pad 9 Pro Max will launch in international markets.
