Ubisoft is dropping deliberate hints about its next major project. The company is actively teasing a remake of the original Assassin’s Creed 1 (AC1). Fans widely expect the publisher to title the game ‘Assassin’s Creed Resynced’. Furthermore, this move directly follows the successful launch of ‘Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced’.
Steam Store Updates Tease Assassin’s Creed 1 Remake
Ubisoft recently made quiet but significant changes to the existing Assassin’s Creed 1 Steam Store page. Specifically, the developers updated the page banner and the official logo art. Dedicated online communities quickly flagged these alterations. Consequently, fans know Ubisoft is actively updating the classic title’s digital footprint.

Currently, Ubisoft is actively pivoting its internal development strategy. The publisher no longer wants massive open-world RPGs to dominate its entire release schedule. Instead, Ubisoft plans to rotate game types frequently. Remakes, officially branded under the “Resynced” banner, now form a core pillar of this new release pipeline.
Black Flag Resynced already proved this new business model works. Ultimately, that game successfully established the foundational development formula for all future franchise remakes.
The 2027 Release Pipeline
Looking ahead, Assassin’s Creed 1 Resynced eyes a potential 2027 release window. This specific timing perfectly aligns with the franchise’s upcoming anniversary. However, a major release bottleneck exists.
Ubisoft also slated ‘Assassin’s Creed Hexe’ for a 2027 launch. Hexe will feature a Witch Hunt Germany setting. Interestingly, Ubisoft already embedded advanced teasers for Hexe directly inside Black Flag Resynced. Therefore, it remains highly unlikely that Ubisoft will drop both AC1 and Hexe in the exact same year. Still, a dual release remains a slight possibility.
Finally, Ubisoft’s pipeline does not end there. The publisher already has a third, completely unannounced remake in the works. This mystery title will launch sometime after AC1 Resynced hits the market.
