The latest Pakistan cellular market share data for August 2026 reveals marginal shifts across major telecom operators. Operators largely maintained their existing market positions. However, the industry now anticipates a new phase of growth following the recent 5G spectrum auction.
Jazz & Zong Hold the Top Ranks
Jazz successfully consolidated its position as the largest cellular operator in the country. The company increased its market share to 36.13 percent in August. Previously, Jazz held a 36.09 percent share in July. Consequently, this minor gain of 0.04 percentage points keeps Jazz firmly at the top.
Meanwhile, Zong retained its spot as the second-largest operator. The company saw absolutely no change in its standing. Zong recorded a 26.83 percent market share in August. This perfectly matched its 26.83 percent share from July.
Ufone Finally Shows Some Improvement
The most notable movement occurred between Ufone and Telenor. Ufone recorded a slight improvement during the month. The operator expanded its market share from 14.97 percent in July to 15.05 percent in August. Therefore, Ufone secured a direct gain of 0.08 percentage points.
Conversely, Telenor faced a marginal decline. Telenor’s market share fell to 20.98 percent in August. In July, the operator held 21.06 percent. As a result, Telenor lost exactly 0.08 percentage points.
Additionally, the Special Communications Organization (SCO) experienced a slight dip. SCO’s share dropped to 1.01 percent in August. Previously, SCO stood at 1.04 percent in July.
