Consumers applying for new electricity connections from the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) are facing delays because electric inspectors are taking unusually long to verify wiring test reports online.
According to media reports, LESCO cannot issue a demand notice until the report is verified, which leaves applicants unable to proceed with their connections.
Under the procedure, applicants submit a request online along with required documents, including the wiring test report. After an inspector verifies the report, the system receives a link to generate the demand notice, which is then issued to the consumer online.
Consumers can print the notice from the LESCO online system and submit it through the prescribed procedure to complete the process. Sources said the pending verifications have held up a number of applications at this stage.
