Apple could have a busy October, with several new Mac and iPad products reportedly set for launch. The company may hold two separate online events this month. Last week, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that Apple would announce its new HomePod on October 13. A new report now points to another product launch later in the month.
According to the report, Apple is planning a second online launch during the final week of October. Multiple sources familiar with the company’s plans reportedly confirmed the timing. The second event could focus heavily on Apple’s Mac lineup. The company may introduce the rumored MacBook Ultra alongside new 14-inch MacBook Pro and iMac models.
The upcoming MacBook Pro and iMac models are expected to use Apple’s M6 chip. Meanwhile, Gurman recently said Apple could introduce touchscreen MacBooks next month. Apple may also reveal a new Mac Studio during the same launch. The desktop is expected to feature the M5 Ultra SoC and support up to 512GB of RAM.
The Mac lineup may not be the only hardware announced this month. Apple could also introduce a new iPad mini with an OLED display. The rumored iPad mini is also expected to use Apple’s A20 Pro chipset. However, Apple has not confirmed any of these products or launch plans.
If the reports are accurate, October could become one of Apple’s busiest hardware months this year. The company may reveal new Macs, an iPad mini, and its next HomePod within weeks of each other.
