The Board of Directors of Skyrooms, a subsidiary of PIA Holding, has approved Amos Nadeem as the new chief executive officer. Nadeem previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
According to sources, the board also removed Asim Ahmed from his post as General Manager of Airport Hotel. Irfan Ahmed Khan has been given additional charge of the position on a temporary basis. Ahmed has been directed to report to PIA airline with immediate effect.
Separately, PIA plans to add four aircraft to its fleet as it expands operations and resumes flights on additional routes. Parliamentary Secretary for Defence Osama Sarwar outlined the plan during a National Assembly session on Friday.
He said the first aircraft will become operational on November 1, while PIA will receive the second on November 15. The airline will finalize the second aircraft’s route after its arrival.
Sarwar added that two more aircraft will join the fleet in January 2027 and begin operations from Karachi. The expansion will allow PIA to operate on additional routes as it continues restoring its international network, including services to the United Kingdom.
