The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a man accused of defrauding a citizen of Rs545,000 on the promise of a Malaysia work visa.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Rawalpindi apprehended the suspect, identified as Muhammad Yaqoob, in Rawalpindi. He was arrested in connection with FIR No. 83/2026, an FIA spokesperson said.
The arrest was carried out by a team comprising Inspector Iqra Jahangir and FC Atif Sajjad. Inspector Jahangir is leading the investigation.
The spokesperson said the roles of other individuals allegedly involved in the scheme will be determined as the investigation progresses.
