A surveillance drone crashed into the outer wall of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) headquarters in Lahore on Sunday, causing panic among police personnel present at the site.
According to initial reports, the drone approached from the Jallo Morr side and flew at high speed toward the building. It struck the wall with a loud bang and fell to the ground.
Police and the Bomb Disposal Squad reached the scene shortly afterwards and cordoned off the area. Security was tightened, and a red alert was issued. Police then carried out a clearance operation at the headquarters.
Harbanspura police registered a case on the complaint of police official Safdar Abbas and began an investigation. A CTD official said the incident is being examined from multiple angles.
