Embark Studios officially launches the highly anticipated Riven Tides update for ARC Raiders today, April 28, 2026. This massive content drop brings a brand-new map, a passive but deadly enemy, and a rewarding limited-time event. Furthermore, players can now tackle their third Expedition.

ARC Raiders Riven Tides Update: Explore ‘Azzurro Beach’ & Face ‘ARC Turbine’
Embark is taking players to the beach. Specifically, the new Riven Tides map features Azzurro Beach. This deserted coastline sits on the Western coast of the Rust Belt. Here, you can explore the abandoned Panorama Azzurro resort and a towering dockyard.
Additionally, the update introduces the ARC Turbine. This new machine floats calmly in the sky. Unlike other enemies, it does not actively hunt players at first. However, once engaged, it unleashes brutal defensive capabilities. Consequently, defeating it requires absolute patience and skill.
Traversal also gets an upgrade. Players can now use the Crash Mat and Powered Descender to mitigate fall damage. Meanwhile, a new minor map condition called Beachcombing changes how you loot. You can equip the Dockmaster’s Detector to find buried treasure. However, this device takes up one weapon slot. Ultimately, the best loot remains out in the open, creating a dynamic risk-and-reward system.
The Last Resort Event & Avian Alarm Project
Starting today and running until May 25, players can jump into the Last Resort event. During successful runs, you earn Merits based on accumulated XP. These Merits unlock three pages of cosmetics, including the Junior Outfit and Hydrologist backpack. Moreover, finding special Ship Model collectibles grants bonus Merits. Higher rarities yield greater rewards.
Players can also earn up to 250 extra Raider Tokens. You can spend these in the in-game shop on the new Rachetta or Solare Sets. Expect more outfits to drop throughout May.
Alongside the event, Embark introduced the Avian Alarm Raider Project. Your objective is to build a makeshift security system that senses atmospheric changes and tremors. To do this, you must deploy buoys along the coastline to catch birds. Completing all five stages rewards you with the Dockmaster’s Detector, Gel Patches, and a Bird House backpack attachment.
Third Expedition & Future Outlook
Veteran players can finally start their third Expedition. This milestone evolves the Patchwork Outfit and Indicator Icon. Furthermore, it gives Scrappy a Turban, provides 12 additional stash spaces, and offers a skill point catchup. Reaching three Expeditions also stacks cumulative buffs. You receive a 15% base XP boost, an 18% materials boost for Scrappy, and an 80% repair value increase.
ARC Raiders Riven Tides marks the final major update on the early 2026 roadmap. Nevertheless, ARC Raiders remains a smash success for Embark Studios. The game maintains massive popularity. Therefore, fans can expect even more content updates and sandbox changes in the coming months.
