Assassin’s Creed Shadows Hit with Massive Leak: Over 200 Spoiler Images Surface Online

In an unexpected blow to Ubisoft, the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been hit with a significant leak, as over 200 images from the game’s official artbook, The Art of Assassin’s Creed, surfaced online. The hentai forum became the source of a leak that exposes vital spoilers from the game including every aspect from game characters to weapons and locations alongside essential plot information.

The leaked content released through gaming websites delivers information about character backgrounds while presenting representative art for Kyoto and Osaka alongside other major locations. Both images disclose schematic displays of the game’s historical figures with Kamiizumi Nobutsuna and Ashikaga Yoshiaki as well as Lady Nene and Lady Oichi represented in them. Some leaked material revealed character concepts for well-known historical figures Hattori Hanzo and Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Momochi Sandayu together with images of Portuguese Templars named Nuno Caro and Duarte de Melo.

The revelation sparked much discussion in the gaming community, with players concerned that any spoilers could damage their entire gaming experience. Ubisoft has not offered any public information regarding how their system was infiltrated.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ release date has been pushed up twice, now set for March 20, 2025. The game was originally scheduled for November 15, 2024, then moved to February 14, 2025, and finally settled on its current release date.

Ubisoft had cited the need to “better incorporate player feedback” and “create the best conditions for launch” as reasons for the delay. The corporation emphasised its dedication to improving operational efficiency and providing a top-tier player experience, stating:

 “Following the strategic and execution reviews initiated by the Executive Committee, Ubisoft is taking decisive steps to reshape the Group to deliver best-in-class player experiences, enhance operational efficiency, and maximize value creation.”

With Assassin’s Creed Shadows generating significant buzz, both for its gameplay potential and now for this major leak, fans are eagerly awaiting Ubisoft’s response and the game’s official launch.
