Chery Master Pakistan completed CKD line-off of Tiggo 8 PHEV and Tiggo 9 PHEV within five days, marking a record milestone in local automotive manufacturing.
The company has introduced three plug-in hybrid models in four months, establishing Pakistan’s largest CKD lineup and accelerating advanced vehicle rollout despite infrastructure challenges.
Supported by Master Auto Engineering and Chery Automobile’s technical team, the line-off demonstrated rapid execution while maintaining global engineering precision and rigorous validation across Pakistan’s driving conditions.
Tiggo 9 PHEV, positioned as Pakistan’s first premium plug-in hybrid E-SUV, leads the lineup alongside Tiggo 8 PHEV and Tiggo 7 PHEV models.
Equipped with Chery Super Hybrid technology, Tiggo 9 PHEV delivers 170 kilometres electric driving, 1,400 kilometres total range, 610 horsepower, 920 Nm torque, and all-wheel drive.
Running costs between PKR 2 and 10 per kilometre enable fuel-free commuting, reducing reliance on charging infrastructure while maintaining efficiency for long-distance travel.
Interior features include 15.6-inch infotainment display, 14-speaker Sony audio system, massage seats, heated and ventilated seating, enhancing comfort across both first and second rows.
Safety equipment includes 10 airbags, Level 2 Plus ADAS with 27 functions, and automatic parking, positioning Tiggo 9 PHEV among Pakistan’s safest SUVs.
CEO Samir Malik stated the achievement reflects speed, precision, and execution, combining global capability with local manufacturing strength to accelerate Pakistan’s transition toward plug-in hybrid mobility.
Chery Master Pakistan, part of Master Group with over 60 years of automotive legacy, continues volume production, reinforcing its strategy of back-to-back hybrid rollouts.
