FIFA has officially confirmed that Colombian singer Shakira and Nigerian artist Burna Boy have jointly released “Dai Dai,” the official song for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The announcement was made on Friday, with FIFA stating that the track brings together global sounds and energy in a vibrant celebration of football, culture, and unity.
The song is now available on all major streaming platforms worldwide, with royalties directed to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, supporting educational initiatives across the globe.
Shakira had earlier hinted at the collaboration in May 2026, posting a short teaser video on social media and referencing Brazil’s iconic Maracanã Stadium in her message.
She wrote alongside the teaser: “From Maracanã Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026,” confirming the release ahead of the tournament’s commencement.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with the tournament scheduled to begin in June 2026 across multiple cities.
The World Cup final is scheduled for 19 July 2026 in New Jersey, where FIFA has planned a high-profile half-time show featuring Madonna, Shakira, and K-pop group BTS.
“Dai Dai” marks Shakira’s 3rd appearance on an official World Cup track, following her 2010 hit Waka Waka and her 2014 collaboration La La La, recorded for Brazil 2014.
