The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has declared the Muslim University Institute of Education and Health Sciences in Hafizabad an illegal institution, warning that it is not authorized to award degrees, diplomas or certificates in Pakistan.
The regulator said the institute lacks legal authority to award chartered degrees and does not hold recognition as a degree-awarding body. As a result, it is ineligible to issue any academic qualification.
The HEC clarified that any degrees, diplomas or certificates issued by the institution will not be verified or attested by the commission, rendering them invalid for official use.
HEC urged parents and prospective students to verify the legal status and registration of any educational institution before seeking admission, cautioning against enrollment in unrecognized institutes.
