Emirates becomes the most profitable Airline globally

Emirates Airline has reported a record-breaking profit of $5.6 billion for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, solidifying its position as the world’s most profitable airline. This is a 20% increase over the previous year’s earnings of $5.2 billion, thanks to strong worldwide travel demand and a jump in premium-class bookings.
The airline carried 53.7 million passengers during the year, a 3% rise compared to the previous period, and expanded its seat capacity by 4%. Emirates’ revenue grew by 6% to $34.9 billion.
In recognition of this exceptional performance, Emirates awarded its 120,000 employees a bonus equivalent to 22 weeks of basic salary, reflecting the company’s commitment to sharing success with its workforce.
The airline is also investing in its future, allocating $5 billion to retrofit 219 aircraft and preparing to introduce 16 new Airbus A350s and 4 Boeing 777 freighters in 2025–2026. As of March 2025, Emirates operates a fleet of 260 aircraft, with 314 more on order.
Emirates has shown resilience and strategic insight in spite of obstacles, including aircraft delivery delays and the implementation of a 9% business tax in the UAE, therefore helping to define Dubai’s worldwide aviation hub.
