Google Now Lets You Know If Your Search Results Are Reliable Or Not

Written by Usman Aslam ·  36 sec read >

Google is now improving its search engine hence optimizing it to ensure that the most trusted and verified information is relayed if you search for anything. This is basically a fact-checking feature to ensure that only correct information is provided and nothing false is promoted on the internet.

In addition to this, the search engine will also explain whether the topic is new or if it’s trustworthy or not. However, it is to be noted that the current information bracket is hidden under the ‘about this result’ option. Though this is not the most convenient option to look upon, the company is officially changing that hence making the option more visible.

This new feature is mostly due to the fact that so much misinformation has been spread on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. regarding the COVID-19 and the respective vaccine that Google did not want to take any chances with their search engine.
