Google Sheets Gets Another Performance Upgrade for Faster Use

Google Sheets is improving once again. Following significant updates in June, Google has rolled out additional enhancements today that could make certain functions up to 50% faster. Users can expect an immediate boost in performance.

Last year, Google made an announcement about how it had doubled the speed of calculations done inside Google Sheets in both Chrome and Microsoft Edge. This meant that complex operations performed in both browsers would take significantly less time. While today’s update may not be as major, it should nevertheless be an exciting addition for Google Sheets users who frequently deal with large amounts of data.

You can now access a few enhancements inside Google Sheets as of today:

• You may now copy and paste data from one spreadsheet to another up to 50% faster!
• Also, you may now establish filter conditions 50% faster than before.
• Up to 30% faster data loading is now possible in spreadsheets.

These updates are now available to everyone, according to Google’s Workspace Updates blog article. Transferring data between spreadsheets, sorting through information, and opening sheets 50% faster will significantly benefit those who regularly manage large volumes of data in their work.

New Improvements Now Live

All users, including “Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual Subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts,” are reportedly able to take advantage of this enhanced speed currently, according to Google. While this isn’t a huge upgrade over last year’s version, it could make some Sheets functions feel much faster (depending on your usage).
