Google has rolled out an update allowing iPhone users to access its Gemini AI chatbot directly from the lock screen. On Monday, the most recent update was released, which includes Gemini widgets. This update allows users to access Gemini Live, real-time voice assistance from Google, without the need to activate their device.
Apple is faced with obstacles in the development of its AI-enhanced Siri until 2027, as third-party AI providers continue to expand their iOS offerings. The ChatGPT app from OpenAI offers users an identical lock screen function that allows them to effortlessly activate Advanced Voice Mode.

Google also announced that Android users will soon gain real-time AI assistance for video and on-screen content. Beginning in March, Google’s Gemini Advanced subscribers who pay a monthly fee of $20 will have access to the advanced capabilities of Project Astra.
