The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced a Special Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) for students intending to apply for major national and international scholarship programs. The test will be conducted through the Education Testing Council (ETC) to facilitate applicants seeking admission under various HEC-funded scholarship schemes.
According to HEC, the Special HAT is intended for candidates applying for MS, M.Phil., Ph.D., and doctoral degree programs, including prestigious scholarship opportunities such as the Commonwealth Scholarships, Chinese Government Scholarships, and other HEC scholarship initiatives.
Online registration for the Special HAT will commence on July 19, 2026, while the deadline to submit applications is August 3, 2026. Eligible candidates are advised to complete their registration well before the closing date to avoid any last-minute issues.
The Special HAT is scheduled to be held on August 30, 2026. Applicants are encouraged to regularly check the ETC portal for updates regarding roll number slips, test centers, and other examination-related instructions.
