The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to integrate HEC’s degree verification system with PSEB’s upcoming national digital workforce platform.
The agreement aims to streamline the digital verification of academic credentials, strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, and improve employment opportunities for Pakistani graduates and IT professionals.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by HEC Chairman Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, PSEB Chief Executive Officer Faisal Jeddy, and senior officials from both organizations.
Under the partnership, HEC’s degree verification system will enable secure and authenticated verification of students’ and professionals’ academic credentials. The integration is expected to enhance transparency, credibility, and trust in Pakistan’s digital talent ecosystem.
The initiative will also establish Pakistan’s first national verified digital talent repository, featuring authenticated digital profiles of students and IT professionals. The platform will provide local and international employers with access to a trusted pool of verified talent, improving recruitment, talent matching, and global employment opportunities.
Officials said the collaboration represents another step toward building a data-driven digital ecosystem that supports skills development, graduate employability, and Pakistan’s broader digital transformation agenda.
