The Higher Education Commission (HEC) will train university faculty members across around 100 institutions in artificial intelligence (AI) skills through a four-day programme starting August 27.
Titled “AI Literacy for Faculty Members: Building AI-Ready Institutions,” the programme will be organised by the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) under the HEC.
Sessions will run on August 27, 28 and 31, and September 1, from 9am to 4pm, held simultaneously in smart classrooms at universities nationwide.
The training will help educators integrate AI into curriculum design, teaching, learning, assessment, research and academic administration.
The programme is open to full-time regular or permanent faculty members, with preference given to newly inducted teachers. The HEC has encouraged universities to nominate suitable faculty members to support the development of AI-ready higher education institutions.
