Oppo’s next camera flagship, the Find X10 Ultra, could bring major upgrades to its camera system. A new leak has revealed the phone’s alleged camera specifications, including two 200MP rear cameras and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom.
According to the source, they shared the details, suggesting that Oppo is also considering a significant upgrade to the front camera. The Find X10 Ultra is expected to launch in the first half of next year, although some hardware choices remain undecided.
According to the leak, the phone will feature a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.12-inch sensor and LOFIC technology. It will also include a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor. The third rear camera will reportedly offer 10x optical zoom.
On the front, Oppo could introduce a 100MP selfie camera with a square 1:1 sensor. This would mark a major jump from the 50MP front camera found in the current Find X9 Ultra. The main camera’s sensor is listed as HPA/HPU, which suggests it could belong to Samsung’s ISOCELL HPx family. However, Oppo has reportedly not finalized the sensor for the 200MP periscope camera.
The company is also still testing options for the 10x optical zoom camera. Oppo reportedly prefers a 1/1.95-inch sensor for this lens. However, production delays could force the company to use a smaller 1/2.76-inch sensor instead.
This possibility matches an earlier leak claiming that Oppo was testing two large 1/1.95-inch sensors for the 10x zoom camera. The final choice could therefore determine how much the phone improves its long-range photography.
For comparison, the Find X9 Ultra launched in April with a 200MP main camera featuring a 1/1.12-inch sensor. It also includes a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor.
As a result, the Find X10 Ultra’s rear camera upgrades could focus on LOFIC technology and a larger sensor for 10x zoom. However, the larger zoom sensor will depend on whether Oppo’s preferred hardware reaches mass production on time.
The front camera could deliver the most noticeable change, doubling its resolution from 50MP to 100MP. Still, the reported specifications could change before launch, as Oppo has several months to finalize the hardware.
