Huawei Nova 3i, Mate 20 Lite and Honor 8X are getting Android Pie update with EMUI 9

Huawei — the second-largest phone maker in the world is fascinating people around the globe by providing various budget-centric smartphones. The devices are magnificent and provide great value for money and quality. Huawei has also assured seamless Android updates for most of its recently launched phones. As of now, the company’s three top-selling phones of 2018 are getting Android 9.0 Pie update.

As reported by the GSM Arena, Huawei Mate 20 Lite, Nova 3i, and Honor 8X are getting Android 9.0 Pie update based on the company’s own custom Android skin EMUI 9.0 initially for China. It looks like that these updates will soon be available in other selected Asian markets including India, Pakistan, and Indonesia.

The recent EMUI 9.0 based Android Pie update comes with a handful of new features like Adaptive Battery feature, Dark Mode, App Actions and App Timer. Other cool new features in this update Adaptive Brightness and Accessibility Menu. The Android Pie upgrade makes the phone’s OS more efficient with artificial intelligence.

Whereas, considering the everlasting processor-centric efforts of the Chinese manufacturer, EMUI 9.0 comes with performance enhancements overall compared to previous custom skin EMUI 8. The latest skin is 25.8% faster in all-around system response speed, 12.9% better in fluency, while app initiations time has been dropped by 102ms on average, as claimed by the company’s official site.

Moreover, EMUI 9 also integrates GPU Turbo 2.0, specifically developed to optimize popular games to make them smoother to play. The new Android Pie and EMUI 9.0 amalgamation also intelligently controls the temperature of the phone in a way that it will not overheat even on excessive usage.
