Instagram is reportedly testing a feature to post multiple photos at once in version 10.7.0.

This feature has been available for businesses and advertisers for a year now. It lets marketers tell a sequential story in a more compelling way. These are called “Carousel Ads”. Users can swipe left to see additional images.

Instagram currently allows users to share one photo at a time but soon it will roll out multi-photo feature to everyone. Droid Life reported that users will be able to select 10 photos at once when the feature starts functioning. The multiple photos can be uploaded to an album on the timeline. Users can either select one filter for all photos or individually select different filters.

Followers can either slide through the pictures or skip them if they don’t want to see. They won’t be bombarded with the same looking pictures anymore.

Instagram has not officially announced about this update yet. This feature is currently being tested and is available to a few number of users. Keep checking your Instagram for any updates. We will let you know when this feature is rolled out globally.

With millions of daily active users, Instagram is a popular photo-sharing and social networking application that lets users share photos, video, share stories, send messages etc. Facebook acquired it in 2012 for about $1 billion. Instagram introduced Insta stories like Snapchat and Live Videos in 2016. Instagram for business is another tool that lets marketers reach to a large number of audience.
