Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has launched a new “Mechanic on Wheels” service to provide roadside assistance to motorists facing vehicle breakdowns and other mechanical emergencies.
The initiative is designed to help commuters receive quick assistance when their vehicles develop sudden technical problems, including flat tires and mechanical breakdowns.
Motorists stranded on Islamabad’s roads can call the Islamabad Traffic Police helpline 1915 to request roadside assistance.
According to an ITP spokesperson, trained technicians will reach motorists at their location and carry out the necessary repairs on the spot.
The service is expected to reduce waiting times for stranded drivers and help prevent potentially unsafe situations caused by vehicles being left on busy roads.
Islamabad Police launched the initiative under the slogan, “Where your car stops, help arrives.”
The service aims to provide motorists with timely support during mechanical emergencies and make travel across the federal capital safer and more convenient.
