The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has announced the Class 9 General Group results for the 2026 annual examinations for regular and private candidates.
The results were announced on September 10, 2026. Students can check their results through the official BSEK website using their examination roll numbers.
A total of 15,244 candidates registered for the examinations, while 14,260 appeared and 984 remained absent.
Among regular candidates, 6,064 students registered for the examinations. Of these, 5,530 appeared, while 534 were absent. The overall pass percentage for regular General Group candidates stood at 36.59%.
For private candidates, 9,180 students registered, with 8,730 appearing in the examinations and 450 remaining absent. The overall pass percentage for private General Group candidates was 35.69%.
The board also reported a 36.29% pass rate for special candidates in the General Group regular category.
Students who appeared in the Class 9 General Group annual examinations can visit the official BSEK website and open the relevant results section.
They should enter their examination roll number and follow the instructions to view their result. Students are advised to verify their examination details before saving or printing their result.
BSEK Chairman Professor Sharaf Ali Shah congratulated successful students and their parents following the announcement.
He said the board remained committed to maintaining transparency, merit, and fairness in the preparation and announcement of examination results.
The September 10 announcement covers the General Group for regular and private candidates and does not include the Class 9 Science Group.
BSEK has previously provided an SMS facility through which students can check results by sending BSEK followed by a space and their roll number to 8583.
However, the latest announcement does not specifically confirm whether the SMS service is available for the 2026 Class 9 General Group result. Students should therefore check the board’s latest instructions before using the service.
