Karachi is set to get Pakistan’s largest public facilitation centre, bringing passport, CNIC, arms licence, NOCs and other federal services under one roof.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced the initiative during his visit to the Ministry of Interior’s office on I.I. Chundrigar Road in Karachi on Tuesday.
According to the Interior Ministry, counters for departments and organisations working under the ministry will be established at the proposed centre, allowing citizens to access multiple services at a single location.
Naqvi directed officials to prepare a master plan for the facility within 10 days and instructed authorities to take all necessary measures for its establishment.
The proposed centre is aimed at making government services more accessible and reducing the need for citizens to visit multiple offices. However, its exact location, launch date, service charges and operating mechanism have not yet been announced.
